Executive Director's Message

It is with great pride and a deep sense of responsibility that I share the progress, vision, and future direction of this Institute that has been serving entire Skill Ecosystem for long time. As a pivotal organization under the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE), Government of India, National Instructional Media Institute (NIMI) has consistently worked towards strengthening skill ecosystem across the nation by creating high-quality instructional materials and digital resources for vocational education and training.
In alignment with India’s ambitious skilling vision, NIMI under DGT plays a critical role in enhancing the effectiveness and reach of vocational training through modern instructional media, including textbooks, e-learning content, AR/VR modules, question banks, and multimedia tools. Our commitment is to bridge the gap between industry requirements and skilled manpower by empowering trainers and trainees with up-to-date, industry-relevant content, leveraging technology reaching out to all areas.
Craftsman Training Scheme (CTS), Apprenticeship Training Scheme (ATS) and Craft Instructor Training Scheme (CITS), NIMI has contributed significantly to develop outcome-based contents that are now central to skill delivery across ITIs and other vocational institutions.
As we embrace the digital transformation and rapidly changing skilling need, NIMI is evolving into a future-ready organization integrating innovation, embracing emerging technologies with scalable content platforms to reach learners across rural and urban India. With a renewed focus on inclusivity, quality, and accessibility, we continue to collaborate with stakeholders including NSDC, Sector Skill Councils, Industry partners, and State governments to build a robust, skilled workforce aligned with the needs of Industry 4.0 and beyond.
